At Data Aces, we work with innovative digital teams in the largest / most prestigious brands in the US, helping them with big data, AI and ML problems. For our customer in New Jersey, we are looking for a Hadoop Consultant to help with our project.
 
Job Title: Hadoop Admin/Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term
Top Must-Have Skills:
Extensive experience with Hadoop platform support
Performance monitoring/tuning
Troubleshooting/resolving issues
Experience conducting proof of concepts and integrating 3rd party tools into the Hadoop environment
Experience with automation (dashboards, alerting, scripting)
Must be a team player (work with other members of team, other Client groups, vendors, etc)
Must be a good communicator (verbal and written)
Candidate Requirements:
Experience with MapR
Degrees/Certifications/Years of Overall Experience Required:
High School Degree and Bachelor's degree (computer science, software engineering, or relevant field) or equivalent work experience required.
1-5 years of Hadoop
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Team supports the platform but does not develop the application
Perform design tasks and develop components of application and technical architecture
Develop test cases and data,
Execute tests for the application or technical architecture components,
Work with other programmers, designers, and architects to meet application requirements and performance goals,
Participate in code reviews,
